Obituary for Raymond A McDuffie Sr.

EAST BROOKFIELD- Raymond A. McDuffie Sr. 73, husband of the late Justine (Rosebush) McDuffie, passed away unexpectedly a short illness July 26, 2017.

Born in Portland, Maine on September 15,1943 a son of the late George and Hazel (Wade) McDuffie, he was a resident of East Brookfield Massachusetts for over 40 years. He retired as Industrial Forman for Smith Valve, Westborough. After retirement, Raymond became Maintenance Manager for the Capen Hill Nature Sanctuary in Charlton. An honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran, Raymond served in Germany as a Tank Commander. Besides his wife, Raymond was predeceased by a son, Raymond A. McDuffie Jr. and a brother Robert McDuffie.

Raymond is survived by his three sons, Richard McDuffie of Worcester, Brian McDuffie and his wife Beth of Baldwinville, Michael McDuffie and his wife Tracy of Millbury; a brother, Richard “Dick” McDuffie of Maine; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Monday ,July 31, 2017 with visitation from 10 to 11 AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer and a funeral home service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in Podunk Cemetery, Podunk Road, East Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capen Hill Nature Sanctuary, 56 Capen Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
