Anthony "Tony" Sidoti
RUTLAND- Anthony “Tony” Dominic Sidoti, 55, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at his home in Vero Beach, Florida.
Tony was born October 31, 1962 in Worcester, the son of the late Dominic & Mary (Foley) Sidoti, and raised in Rutland with his parents and 5 fun loving sisters.
He leaves his sisters Gerri Sidoti Brown & her husband Ross of Hawthorne, FL, Mary Elbag & her husband Mark, Cathy Ham & her husband Jeff, his twin sister Teresa Brown & her husband Bruce, all of Rutland and Liz Dupre & her husband Scott of Kittery Point, ME; 10 nieces & nephews; 11 grand nieces and nephews; many caring cousins; aunts and uncles.
Tony had a fiery and joyful spirit and was a gifted carpenter. Growing up in his Irish-Italian family there was great love, fun, battles & great food. He enjoyed grilling meats and spicy foods. He loved playing cards with his nieces and nephews on Sandy Neck Beach. He almost burnt up his camper, “Tonywoods”, demonstrating to the kids how to cook a steak. He loved his Harley, music, fishing, dirt biking, nascar and he played the clarinet. Tony graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Mount Wachusett Community College. He moved to Vero Beach with his best pal Matty, a border collie, in 2013. He loved animals, living near the ocean and he enjoyed raising white racer pigeons. Tonys family and friends will remember him for his kind heart, sense of humor and his unique way of grabbing the gusto.
The funeral for Tony will be held on Monday, May 21,2018 with a Mass at 11:00AM in St. Patricks Church 258 Main St., Rutland. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery in Barre. Donations may be made in his name to Sweetpea F.O.R. Animals, Inc., 1090 Pleasant Street, Paxton, MA 01612. Pillsbury Funeral Home 96 S.Barre Rd. Barre is directing arrangements.
