Obituary for Barbara J Gaudette

SPENCER - Barbara Jane Gaudette, 89, died on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.

She was born in Terryville, CT. on June 5, 1926 the daughter of the late Albert and Irene G. (Throw) Krause.

Barbara is survived by her son Francis Marderosian & his wife Rita of Spencer; grandsons Jefferey Goodrow & his wife Maureen of North Brookfield, John Goodrow of Newburyport, Kevin Marderosian & his companion Sue Bodish of Sturbridge; son-in-law Jefferey Goodrow of Spencer ; step-son William Gaudette of Spencer; 6 Great Grandchildren, Meagan Morin of East Brookfield, Zachary Marderosian of Spencer, Matthew Marderosian of Sturbridge, Jacob and Jarod Goodrow of North Brookfield and Jackson Goodrow of West Newburyport; her favorite nephew and niece, Ronald Krause and his wife Robin & their daughter Rebecca of Barre; Brenda Baker & her husband Garrett and their son Joe of North Brookfield. Special people in her life who she loved dearly: Heather Goodrow of West Newburyport, Brian, Jessica and Alex Bodish of Sturbridge and Kate Ostrout of East Brookfield.

She was predeceased by her first husband Francis V. Marderosian in 1976 and her second husband Roland "Blackie" Gaudette in 2008; daughters Frances Marderosian and Jane I. (Marderosian) Goodrow; sisters Lorraine (Krause) Marderosian and Viola (Krause) Benoit; brothers Kenneth A., Douglas R. and Ronald E. Krause.

Barbara enjoyed going to Foxwoods, playing bingo and cards. She especially loved going out to eat with her family and friends.

We would like to thank the staff at Quaboag Rehabilitation on 3B for the wonderful care, love and compassion they gave to Barbara. We would also like to thank, Jessica McDonald her Social Worker, Donna Manduke, Unit Manger and Donna Robert Hospice Nurse from Overlook.

Barbara's love, devotion and friendliness that she gave to her family, friends and to all she met is a tribute to the sunshine of her heart and soul. Her loving presence and zest for life will be deeply missed by all those who had the opportunity to have known her.

Per Barbara's request, there will be no services. Donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or the "Activity Fund" at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center 47 E. Main St. West Brookfield,MA.01585.
