WARREN- Joseph Daniel Bourgoyne,85, born on March 30, 1935 in Bangor, Maine, passed away suddenly on May 24,2020 in his home in Warren.

He was a hard-working man his whole life, becoming a long-time employee of Hardwick Knitted Fabrics until his retirement in 2007. Joe was a man of small stature but a huge presence in the lives of all that knew him. He was a dedicated father to his five children, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and holiday gatherings. His love for his family was unconditional, always present and always giving. He taught his children the value of hard work, what it means to be family, and to live life to the fullest and on your own terms. His favorite past time was coffee hour with his best friends, Tom and Gerry Ventura and Bob Gagnon. He also enjoyed fishing, puttering around in the yard on his John Deere, and attending and watching WWE/WWF events with his grandson Dereck.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel (Inman) Carr; his father, Percy Bourgoine; his brother and partner in crime, James E. Burgoyne, Sr.; and his granddaughter, Chelsea Perreault. He leaves to cherish his memory his ex-wife and long-time friend, Beverly Allard; his sister-in-law, Regina Burgoyne; his daughter, Bonnie (Donny) Perron; his son, Timmy (Katharine) Perreault; his daughter, Joyce (Dave) Pollack; his daughter, Jody (Paul) Parker-Matt; and his daughter, Tammy (Bill) Bourgoyne-Cieslak. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Melannie, Lezette, Crystal, Shane, Dereck, Timmy, Andrew,Sean,Steve,Connor, Devin, Jacek and Keenan; 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; his brother, Percy (Les) Bourgoine and his sister, Bobbie Mae Sullivan, both of whom he recently connected with.

If you were knew him. If you knew loved him. And in loving him, you will forever miss him. Pepe...the man, the myth, the legend.

Dad/Daddy, as you have always been, you will forever be, with us. We love you always and forever.

It has been 6 weeks sence you recieved your wings. Every day i hope i wake up from this nightmare but it has not happened. Dad i love you with all my heart. I miss you every moment of every day. Dad you were the best dad any girl could want. You were always jest a phone call away if i needed you. You taught us the value of money and to earn what you want. You taught us life is full of ups and downs so jest pick yourself up and move on. You taught us thiers always aches and pains jest pull it together and enjoy every day. You taught us about family and to always be thier for each other. But the most important thing you taught me was what a great loving dad is. I love and miss you so so much. Untill we meet again .

Joe was not only my husband and father of my children, he also was a very good friend. Even after we divorced over 40 years ago, we still remained friends. We would talk weekly on the phone and when I was up in Mass., we'd get together with friends and family for cookouts, go out for coffee, or just visit with each other. And on the days when I was alone at one of my kid's houses, he'd always come to check up on me and keep me company. We had a lot of good times together in our younger years, going out dancing, spending time with our best friends Tom and Gerry, driving up to Bangor, so many good times. I will miss Joe dearly and wish he was still here.

It has been almost two weeks, and I still can't believe that my reality is without you here with us. I know I should feel lucky to have had you for the past 85 years, but that was just not enough time. Every time I leave the house, when I return I expect to see your car sitting in my driveway and you puttering around in the yard. And every time I realize that you aren't there my heart drops. I feel so blessed to have had you so close by and I will forever be thankful for all that you have been in my life. You will always be with me, in my thoughts and in my heart, every day for the rest of my life. And one day we will be together again, I promise.
Always and forever,

Love, Bill and Barbara
