SPENCER- Marian (French) Cogswell,80, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 29,2020.

She leaves her daughter Pamela Velazquez of Spencer ; 4 grandchildren Joshua Velazquez of Webster Jessica Velazquez Jenna Velazquez and Joseph Velazquez of Spencer; 3 great grandsons Jayce Clayton and Ethan and Cameron Velazquez. She is predeceased by her husband Richard F Cogswell and her 2 brothers Norman M French Jr and Donald T French. She also leaves her sister in law Doris Ann French of Holden; her cousin/ sister Sylvia Appleton & her husband Lawrence of Guilford ,CT and many neices and nephews

She was born May 2,1940 the daughter of Norman M French and Marjorie (Taylor) French and grew up in worcester. She graduated from classical high school in Worcester,MA and Framingham state teachers college. Marian was a teachert at Marlboro high school where she met her husband. She retired when she started her family many years ago but stayed active doing volunteer work in the Spencer school system.

Marian loved doing arts and crafts and was a girl scout leader. She was the kindest and most generous woman who remembered every important moment and name for anyone she ever met. She was a very involved mother, grandmother, and great great as her great grandsons called her. She was always smiling and never had a negative word for anyone. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 7,20202 at 11am in Pine Grove Cemetery in Spencer
Arrangements are under the care of Pillsbury Funeral Home 163 Main St. Spencer.

MARIAN was my moms best friend, they spent many years together and lunch every Tuesday. I remember Marian as the sweetest,most caring individual. She loved her grandchildren they were her life.I for one will miss her she's up with my mom reuniting
