EAST BROOKFIELD/PAXTON- Richard W. Thunberg, Sr. "Pep", 82 of Paxton formerly of East Brookfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Care One at Millbury.
He leaves three sons Richard W. Jr, of North Grovensdale, Ct, David C. of Wilmington, NC, Gary P, and his wife Karen of Spencer; a daughter, with whom he lived , Karin M. and her husband Bill Richard of Paxton; a sister Phyllis I. Thunberg of Worcester; three grandchildren Katelyn and Cody Thunberg and Tyler Richard; two great grandchildren Weston and Amelia Thunberg. He was predeceased by his former wife Joyce A. Brown/Thunberg and a brother Paul E. Thunberg.
He was born in Worcester the son of the late Charles and Irene Thunberg and graduated from South High School in Worcester. Prior to his disability and health issues Richard was employed by Flexcon Company; he also was a former lifetime member of the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club. He loved to dance, fish and hunt.
The family extends a special "Thank You" to the entire staff at Care One at Millbury for their amazing care and service
Funeral service are private for the family. Arrangements are under the care of Pillsbury Funeral Home 3 West Brookfield Rd. Brookfield.
